When's the MLB Coming Back?

Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and healthy. Like I talk about in my other posts remember how important it is to keep your mental health in check as well as your physical health.

It feels like it has been forever since there were "normal" stuff going on in the world. The times that we are currently living in are unlike any other. Sports fans around the world are all starting to ask the same question, "When will sports come back."

Many people are hoping that the season can still be salvaged even with the Coronavirus pandemic still looming. There are other sports along with baseball that are trying to fight for their season. The NBA and the NHL seasons were stopped more than halfway through because of the virus.

The Major League Baseball season was supposed to start in late March- early April but they had to hold off on starting their season. Rumors have been swirling about a late start to the MLB season. MLB pitcher Phil Hughes tweeted that a situation will be proposed with the season starting June 10th with "Spring Training" and the official start to the regular season being July 1st.

There has been no official confirmation from anyone about whether or not this is true but we can hope for the best. Even when the season starts it seems that there will be no fans allowed in the stadiums which could be a rule for a little while. Also, it will be interesting to see how the players are able to interact with each other.

With a lot of sports fans feeling the void of watching the games popular television channel ESPN has recently started to televise professional baseball that is being played in a South Korean league. The KBO league in South Korea just started their season after they did many tests and felt it was the right time for them to come back to the game.

These games are played with no fans in the stands and many players wear masks in the dugouts. It will be interesting to see when the MLB and other sports leagues come back to the fans. Obviously, the safety of everyone will be held at a priority and the leagues will not come back until it is completely safe.
